The twenty-three PDP members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly have promised their continued commitment and support to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and governor Ayodele Fayose. The members who were led by the speaker of the house, pastor Kola Oluwawole on a solidarity visit to the governor on Friday in Ado Ekiti announced this while addressing newsmen. Speaking on behalf of the assembly members, Dr. Samuel Omotoso who represents Oye Constituency 1, said they were at the government house to intimate the governor that they remain solidly behind him and the party against all odds. Hon. Olusegun Olaleye, a member of the Oyo state house of Assembly has decamped from the All Progressives Congress, APC for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Olaleye revealed that he left the ruling party because its ideals have been eroded. The lawmaker who represents Ibadan North II added that his decision was not triggered by the exodus of federal lawmakers from the APC to the PDP on Tuesday. He said; “I went astray in the APC but I am back to the party that will form the next government in the state. Gunmen suspected to be assassins in the early hours of Friday murdered, Sunny Ejiagwu, the All Progressives Congress chairman in Ideato North Local Government of Imo state.
