The Blues lost their 100% record in the Premier League at the weekend when they were held to a goalless draw at West Ham, and they will no doubt look to bounce back with a win in the cup against high-flying Liverpool. Sarri has never been a huge fan of massive rotation for cup competitions during his career, and that is not expected to change for this one with the Italian set to field a strong team at Anfield. In goal, Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to retain his place. In defence, Davide Zappacosta is likely to come in for Cesar Azpilicueta, with Andreas Christensen and Gary Cahill expected to replace David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger, with Marcos Alonso keeping his spot. A midfield three of N’Golo Kante, Ross Barkley and Mateo Kovacic is expected to l...

Mourinho has been publicly critical of Pogba after dropping the midfielder from his starting XI towards the end of last season and Barcelona were understood to be keeping close tabs on the situation in the summer. Pogba decided to stay on at Old Trafford but this has not put an end to the infighting which escalated once again after the Frenchman’s performance against Wolves.A second-half goal from Joao Moutinho cancelled out Fred’s opener and Pogba was party at fault for the Wolves’ equaliser after losing possession in midfield. The Portuguese questioned Pogba’s attitude and told his squad at the club’s Carrington training base that the Frenchman does not represent what a captain should be. It’s cla...

Imo Governor and chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Governors Forum, Governor Rochas Okorocha, has said the party must work hard to secure victory at the Osun governorship rerun election. Okorocha told State House correspondents on Tuesday that the result of the election where the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP, was leading slightly, showed a good fight. < He said: “Well, it is inconclusive (the election), as long as it is made inconclusive, it is inconclusive and it is a good fight, I love that kind of democracy where there is a close margin, it shows that there were checks and balances. “That is why I tell APC, we must never go to bed to sleep; we have a lot of work to do because you are more endangered when you are in power than when you are not in power. “The forces to pull you down are more than the forces to build you up when you are holding unto power. So APC has a lot of work to do and I hope we will come out fine.”

Click here to Join the whatsapp group for ALL LIVERPOOL NEWS < Liverpool player Mohamed Salah may have been one of the three people nominated for The Best FIFA Men's Player but his name was a curious omission from the FIFPro World 11. Croatia star Luka Modric pipped former Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo and Liverpool talisman Salah to the main prize at a star-studded awards show in London. But Salah, who collected goal of the year honours, did not even have the consolation of being chosen in the team of the year, with new Juventus signing Ronaldo leading the line up front. Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard was one of three Premier League representatives on the list, selected in a three-man supplementing role to Ronaldo alongside Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Paris St Germain's Kylian Mbappe. Click here to Join the whatsapp group for all CHELSEA NEWS The world’s professional footballers have spoken (via the ballot box) and they’ve elected Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kanté to the 2018 FIFPro all-world first eleven. The announcement came at the (still most awkwardly named) The Best FIFA Football Awards Show at Royal Festival Hall in London on Monday evening. The duo finally get their recognition after being snubbed for last year’s awards. It’s the first time either has been voted onto the team, and are among five newcomers in total (Mbappé, Varane, and De Gea), potentially signaling a changing of the guard among Europe’s recognized elite. The last Chelsea player to be selected for the FIFPRo First XI was David Luiz in 2014, though by the time the announcements were made, he was in Paris. John Terry is the only Chelsea player to make multiple appearances, getting voted in for five straight years (2005-2009). Frank Lampard (2005), Claude Makélélé (2005), and Didier Drogba (2007) ...
